This website has been create by an all round angler. Over the last few years I have moved away from strictly carp fishing and now enjoy fishing for many species. Kings Weir

A more classic looking weir-pool would be hard to imagine. Deep holes, snaggy corners, swirling eddies and currents. Weir pools are a magnet for anglers and fish. Through the 70's and 80's anglers used punts to fish the pool, these days angling is from the bank only.

The pool has always been known for its big barbel and chub. Although fish numbers aren't what they once were, the average size of both is truly incredible. Barbel approaching to 16lb Chub to 9lb Bream to 10lb and Perch to 4lb, Pike to 20lb+ as well as a few Carp ,Tench. Weight gain has been boosted by the introduction of high protein baits and the abundance of American red crayfish.

The weir pool contains 9 designated swims,bookable in advance at £ 12 per day for Two Rods from 8am till dark. The river has 35 swims over 750 yards either side the river this is available by season ticket only at £75 + £5 key deposit fishing between times displayed.
